Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This policy explains what information Tamkeen collects across everything we run — the Khedma labor-marketplace app (iOS, Android, and web), tamkeen.khedma.space, job applications, and our contact form — and why.
2. Data controller
Tamkeen, headquartered in Temara, Morocco (the same company behind the Khedma app), is the controller responsible for the data described in this policy.
3. Information we collect — Khedma app
To use Khedma we collect: your phone number or email, a Google account identifier or device passkey if you sign in that way, your name, your geographic location (used to show and match nearby tasks and workers), an optional profile photo, the details/description/photos/voice recordings of tasks you post or bid on, in-app chat messages (including photos and voice notes you send), ratings and reviews you give or receive, your device's push-notification token, and records of any donations you make to support Khedma (amount, method, and confirmation status — we never process or store your card or bank details ourselves; wages and donations are settled directly between users or through the external payment method you choose). See Section 5 for national ID (CNIE) verification, which we handle separately given its sensitivity.
4. Information we collect — Tamkeen careers site
Job applications (Careers page): your name, email, phone number, cover letter, and CV file. Contact form: your name, email, and message. No account is required to use tamkeen.khedma.space.
5. National ID (CNIE) verification
Identity verification is optional in Khedma. If you choose to verify, you upload photos of the front and back of your CNIE and a selfie. These are stored on access-controlled, private infrastructure — separate from your regular profile — and are used only so a member of our team can manually confirm your selfie matches your ID photo and approve or reject the submission. We do not run automated facial recognition on these images, and they are never shown to other users or used for advertising. You can request deletion of your CNIE documents and verification status at any time by contacting support@khedma.space, or by deleting your account (Section 10).
6. How we use this information
In Khedma: to match you with relevant clients or workers, verify identity and prevent fraud, send notifications, show ads (Section 7), and improve the service. On the careers site: to review your job application and contact you about it, or to respond to your message. We do not sell your personal information, on either product.
7. Advertising
The Khedma mobile app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier and other technical data to select and measure ads; this is governed by Google's own privacy policy. You can limit ad personalization from your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking). The Tamkeen careers site (tamkeen.khedma.space) carries no ads and does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Who we share information with
In Khedma, we only share what's necessary with the other party on a task (name, rating, photo, and phone number if you've enabled that option) — your CNIE documents stay private and are never shown to other users. We use Google AdMob for ads (Section 7). We also use a crash-reporting service to diagnose app errors — this includes your device model, OS version, the screen you were using, and the error itself, and is linked to your account if you were signed in when the crash happened. Photos you upload are automatically scanned at upload time for content that violates our rules; a flagged photo is rejected and never stored, and our moderation team is notified to review your account. On the careers site, only our internal hiring and support team can access your application or message. We do not share information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes, and may share information if required by law.
9. Data retention
Khedma account data is kept for as long as your account is active. CVs and job-application files are kept only as long as needed to evaluate your application, then deleted. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to respond. When you delete your Khedma account, your personal data — including CNIE documents — is deleted, except information the law requires us to retain (e.g. payment/donation records), which is kept for a limited period.
10. Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete the information you submitted — including from Khedma app Settings — at any time, or by contacting support@khedma.space. This is in line with Moroccan Law 09-08 on the protection of personal data.
11. Security
Uploaded files and messages are stored on access-controlled infrastructure, with CNIE documents held on a separate, private tier from regular content. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) for everything you send us, and Khedma login codes (OTP) are unique and single-use.
12. Cookies and local storage
The Tamkeen careers site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies — we only store your language and dark-mode preference in your browser’s local storage. See Section 7 for how ads work inside the Khedma app itself.
13. Children
Khedma and the Tamkeen careers site are not directed at anyone under 18. Job applications require the applicant to be of legal working age, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will reflect the latest change, and significant changes affecting Khedma app users will also be announced inside the app.
